I got a new shelf and now I can retrieve all my books from my mom’s house to fill it up. The books already on the shelf have all been purchased since I moved to Houston in September. And I’ve got a bunch more in my car. And I got a new one in the mail today, The Screenwriter Within. Ha!

I’ve got a lot of great ideas in my head that I’m sure will one day change the world for the better and make me a respected genius millionaire in the process, but when I sit down at my computer hoping to clack out these ideas into a communicable form, well, I just get distracted by all the bells and whistles of the Internet and iTunes and cool new software.
I’m sure many of you feel the same way and that’s why I want to pass on this amazing new software called Dark Room. It’s basically a no-frills word processor that goes fullscreen, blocking out that browser window that promises video of a prehistoric shark–Have you guys seen that shark?–Whoops, got distracted again. So here’s a screen cap and a link, it’s free, get it.

It was a damn good game of considerable importance. For starters, it was the biggest comeback in AFC Championship history, with the Patriots winning the first half 21-3. The Colts came back though and won 38-34, so Peyton Manning will finally get the chance to prove his greatness by winning a Super Bowl.
Colts coach Tony Dungy joins Bears coach Lovie Smith as the first black coaches to lead their teams to a Super Bowl, so either way one of them will become the first black coach to win a Super Bowl. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick whined like spoiled ten year-olds after the game, proving that they’re both pussies and that the Patriots are not deserving of their dynasty status.
But the big question on the minds of everyone who watched the game was: what the hell is the deal with Reche Caldwell’s eyes?

Speculation has ranged from amphetamines to caffeine to lemurs in his bloodline, but either way those peepers couldn’t help Reche pull down any of those crucial passes in the second half. Go Colts!
I finally switched to Word Press with the help of Jeff James and I ‘m pretty happy with the results. Enjoy the new look. I’ll probably make some more changes as I learn more about WP. Speaking of new looks, my camera is looking pretty sexy these days.

So it’s been a while since I got my new camera, but in all that time I never actually filmed anything worthwhile. So last night I was home alone with my sister’s dog, Tanner, so I pulled out my camera. The resulting footage could be described as a neorealist reworking of Bergman’s Wild Strawberries. But with a dog.
